There’s a reason God told His people not to worship idols. Modern day “Christians” often think that because they don’t have statues of a golden calf or some such thing in their homes, they don’t worship idols. An idol is anything we value (worship) more than God. Only He is worthy of our devotion. If we allow ourselves to take our eyes off Him, the enemy has all sorts of idols he can distract us with. Pretty soon we’re unable to discern the difference. “Turn your eyes upon Jesus” - and keep them there.
The use of "GEOTUS" that's found on TD and even here makes me sick. Can't we rise above this cult of personality? Trump may very well be following God's guiding hands, but he is no god emperor of the United States, nor the second coming of Christ.
Sure. I get that. But not everyone who says it, says it in jest. There are people (however few) in the MAGA movement who do everything short of openly proclaiming Trump as the second coming.
I don’t disagree. That’s one of the reasons I’ve said several times that this is not all about Trump. He’s definitely involved, but he didn’t come up with “the Plan” all by himself. I give him a lot of credit for being the face of it because he’s been made a target, but he needs to humble himself before God if he’s really going to be part of healing America like I believe he wants to be. I struggle with the bragging, but maybe it’s part of the movie as well - like all the theatrics of the WWE rivalry between him and Vince McMahon (who is, in reality, his close friend).
I'd love to listen to a Vince and Donald podcast.... that one will never happen. The bragging is part of his public persona and serves the purpose to constantly (even if its obnoxious) remind people that he is a very smart and successful man. He has to be this way in the toxic horrible public media environment we currently are in.
You are absolutely right. I’ve had friends tell me they can’t stand him because he is so “mean”, but he never says anything mean about good people. His brass and off-putting comments are always directed towards the radical Left - those who he knows (without any doubt) are involved in evil things. This is how he lets them know he absolutely knows exactly who they are, and that there’s nowhere to hide.

Including charismatic presidents. I hear people calling him god/king/emperor....
We.still have unbelievers who like idolatry in the maga camp.
