Oh wow this is some next level lies. Everytime I think they can't outdo themselves

-CBC gets almost a billion a year from the federal government. They will tell you exactly what the government wants them to say.

frazzledrip 13 points ago +13 / -0

CBC is actually owned and run by the federal government.

They all must hang.

Defund the Thought Police!

Almost all Canadian media is either state-funded or state-sponsored currently. Only a couple that aren't on the government payroll.

frazzledrip 1 point ago +1 / -0

I keep having to remind people of this :P. In 2015, the Trudope gov't gave Unifor a $60 million cheque for something. Now, Unifor is a 'general trades' union across the private sector, but they are who look after the journalists here.

This is their "Lets Go Brandon" moment.

navycuda 13 points ago +14 / -1

This doesn’t actually deserve to be a sticky. For context there actually was a protest about the road conditions as our roads have been absolutely shit kicked and there is no money to fix them.

I used to be in road building in BC. Our roads are dangerous.

15
catsfive [M] [S] 15 points ago +15 / -0

Correct. Except, that's what they run with? A small protest, instead of the one that's very obviously happening? Same thing as censorship. How does this need to be explained to anyone?

9
navycuda 9 points ago +9 / -0

You’re ignoring local context. Also, look at the date of the article, the convoy for freedom was only starting to gain public awareness.

You believe whatever you want to believe, but as a local, I believe you’re making a mountain of a mole hill. That isn’t helpful when there is a much larger picture to be aware of.

4
catsfive [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

You know,, your facts are facts, and I see your point and I've decided that I agree with you. Going to UN-sticky this.

Since you're tracking this, I think we both know what CBC's coverage of the current trucker protest is going to be......

4
navycuda 4 points ago +5 / -1

I make no mistakes about the CBC, never mind its rampant censorship.

Just no point getting wound up over something easily explained.

2
catsfive [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Addendum: not trying to be cute, but, this article, from around the same time or earlier, has the headline right:

https://chatnewstoday.ca/2022/01/21/trucker-protest-to-ottawa-to-pass-through-medicine-hat/

3
navycuda 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sad thing is, locally, I heard about it here or on patriots. Not a peep on my local news feed until it started getting national attention.

1
TrappedInBlueState 1 point ago +1 / -0

Have you seen the videos from the truckers in the convoys? From the other locals gathering along the roads in support waiving flags and signs?

2
navycuda 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes. I was glad to see every over pass packed with people in the lowermainland as they went by.

1
TrappedInBlueState 1 point ago +1 / -0

Its so that they can acknowledge there are truckers on the road in a convoy without having to admit theyre about to get their shit pushed in by in the incoming convoys.

3
ApplesOrangesLemons 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is a good point. I'm curious when the trucker protests started with respect to when this article came out (22nd)

4
navycuda 4 points ago +5 / -1

The convoy for freedom is more important to me but this trucker protest over road conditions is a worthwhile cause and deserves attention. Just bad timing.

1
stray502 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they are only 2 or 3 days in so this article may have been before.

1
OdieOD 1 point ago +1 / -0

Convoy started on Saturday. Left BC Sunday.

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +1 / -0

so it was about socialist incompetence rather than socialist authoritarianism? lol

4
Warrior_of_Virtue 4 points ago +4 / -0

They‘re disgusting. Problem for the MSM is, these convoys are so huge and present, that quite a few people can see them for themselves and realise how blatantly full of shit the MSM actually are.

I mean, that‘s some soviet style level of propaganda here…

4
ashlanddog 4 points ago +4 / -0

...it will be hazardous driving around all that "road kill"....

4
lovecymru 4 points ago +4 / -0

Must control the narrative

4
ErnstJunger 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's amazing the same playbook is being used in most first world countries; like there was a global conspiracy or something.

3
astutsa 3 points ago +3 / -0

CNN says they are protesting a Maple Syrup price hike? Kek

A few good videos:
https://files.catbox.moe/thxidg.mp4
https://odysee.com/@WrongthinkInc:e/truckerconvoyrehost:6

their gofundme:
"$5,138,970 CAD raised of $6,000,000 goal"
Doubled in two days, was at half that Sunday.

o7

3
Dreadnought61 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think the stickie is for the utter absurdity of the Canadian news agencies trying to downplay the true reason for this TRUCKIN CONVOY!!!

3
ThePatriotsParty 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hahaha! 🤣😂🤣😂 Are you frickin’ kidding me?

This takes Fake News to a whole other level! 🤡

3
Gotrek 3 points ago +3 / -0

They aren’t protesting the vaccine. They are protesting mandates.

4
catsfive [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

Mandates of what, tho? Hmm. I await your reply

1
arterius2 1 point ago +1 / -0

vaccine mandate lol

1
Gotrek 1 point ago +1 / -0

All of them. Being locked in your house, not able to run your business, Michelle not being able to see Barry, etc

2
SoMuchWinning45 2 points ago +2 / -0

You mean Big Mike.

3
dfgdgff 3 points ago +3 / -0

So they are all going to drive in hazardous conditions to protest hazardous conditions? Lmao who writes this shit

2
Judesama 2 points ago +2 / -0

..... wow.... this is top mockingbird bullshit.

2
Maui_Boy 2 points ago +2 / -0

They’re trying to LGB your FJB moment.

1
TrappedInBlueState 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hundreds here, hundreds there, thousands here, thousands there... every town they go through is like a homecoming parade!

1
valley-lily 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Protest snowy road conditions"? What are they gonna do, yell at the snow? smh this is some next level stupidity programming for the normies.

1
Recyclops 1 point ago +1 / -0

"There are no trucking infidels in Ontario. Never!" - Baghdad Bob's cousin Toronto Tim

1
ITOLDYOUSO 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm sure all the anti-mandate are related to something else.

1
RagnarD 1 point ago +1 / -0

The propaganda deserves to be in a poorly written dystopian novel.

1
Cpleb 1 point ago +1 / -0

The siren song must go on…

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +1 / -0

OHHHHH, so they're not protesting socialist authoritarianism, just socialist incompetence.

glad we cleared that up.

1
Striker1 1 point ago +1 / -0

We’ve seen the videos so…way bigger than advertised!

1
Cheesecakecrush 1 point ago +1 / -0

The think we're retarded and that a bunch of truckers are protesting the WEATHER.

1
TheShrimpPimp 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's fucking Canaduh. So, they must do this every year then? CBC needs to pull that dick out of their mouth.

1
marvinthehaggler 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Hundreds".

Lol.

1
pede-ling 1 point ago +1 / -0

Protesting about road conditions while displaying an upside down Canadian Flag....riiiight.

1
TrappedInBlueState 1 point ago +1 / -0

Load the meme cannons...

Take articles like this and put them side by side with the videos and images comong from the convoy.

Show the people the media propoganda and lies.

1
BrotherAmerica 1 point ago +1 / -0

If they protest road conditions hard enough, maybe God will change them.(?)

1
All1000wombats 1 point ago +1 / -0

Literal lies. Not even just a truth spun with some propaganda, just literal lies.

1
ApplesOrangesLemons 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol. Canada's version of let's go brandon = let's go protest dangerous conditions on B.C. Highways!

2
navycuda 2 points ago +2 / -0

Except they are dangerous and there is good reason for the truckers to protest the conditions. Had major tire failure due to new pot holes opening up. Our roads are not good here.

1
ApplesOrangesLemons 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yea. I read that comment after i posted this. The timing is a bit unfortunate.

1
navycuda 1 point ago +1 / -0

all good fren!

1
tail11 1 point ago +1 / -0

Tell me that pharma doesn't own the media. What a shame only a few of us can see beyond the lies.

1
NOT_ADMIN 1 point ago +1 / -0

They even chose an image, making the protest look small and the trucks have signs about road safety on them.

1
frazzledrip 1 point ago +1 / -0

Here in NB they've changed the tune. As of yesterday morning, they are reporting the truth about the convoy. Right up until yesterday though, they were saying this bullshit as well.

Side note ; watched drone / helicopter footage of them crossing Saskatchewan yesterday. There's certainly a lot more trucks than MSM is saying.

1
ATLAS_ONE 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nothing gets me going more than the thought of protesting something out of anyone's control. Sometimes you just have to shake a fist at mother nature.

1
Herringbone 1 point ago +1 / -0

So thousands of truckers are driving thousands of miles through all of Canada voluntarily and at their own expense....in winter.....to protest unsafe winter driving conditions Man they just slap you across the face with how stupid they think we are.

1
Sek7or 1 point ago +1 / -0

They should of contacted The Rolling Stones for a better winter picture, they’ve got the stash.

flatissmooth 0 points ago +1 / -1

GUYS!!!!!!

All we need to do is drive all of our trucks, together, across the dangerous road conditions to bring attention to the dangerous road conditions!

and all of the world's problems were solved on that day
