Since when do Representatives need a fucking legislative director on staff???? Fuck, these scumbags are basically told to vote whichever way Pelosi says to vote. Moreover, he should only be representing his fucking district based on feedback from his constituents. You don't need directors for a job like that!!!
One of the big problems nobody ever seems to talk about is the piss poor ratio of representatives to population. We are almost at a point where there are 1M people per Rep. That is insane. Our districts need to be a LOT smaller. That means MORE reps should be in the House. They should have never frozen that number at 435.
If you'd jack that number up by a factor of 4 and get rid of all of the perks associated with a job that was supposed to be one literally anyone could perform on their own for a couple of years as civic duty, you'd solve a lot of problems. Corruption would be difficult since you'd need to buy off over 800 people, you'd more than likely see more than two parties in the House since it'd be far too expensive for a party to compete for 1600+ seats, and I doubt you'd see people making a career out of the House since there is little motivation to stay there.
If they'd grow the House to a number more in line with our current population, you'd dilute the power each one of these scumbags have to a point where they'd be worthless to evil. If they'd grow the House after each census like they're supposed to do, you'd prevent the problems we have today happening tomorrow. Fat fucks like Jerry would have to get real jobs and actually WORK to grow wealth ... No waddle around and collect kickbacks for a living.
