Have never done FAke Bake, they should rebrand as Hacker Central, do people realize all their data is stolen continuously? They need to crash.
Well, they can "steal" all the memes I post from here, but what would they do with them?
You can have an account to keep up with things without telling your life story. That "checking in" deal is just stupid. I've never done that, especially since I don't have a cell phone. If I "checked in," it would be "I'm still at my desk, just like every time before in the past x years." :)
I blocked all the people who did that. I don't care where they went or what they had for supper.
I wish people would use regular mail more, or at least email.
My sister is on there, has had her personal information stolen multiple times, it’s Idiotic really.
I've been online for decades, and no one seems to want my personal information. :)
Don't put everything online. Don't answer quizzes about your first car, etc., as those are login safety questions for banks. You can be on FB without telling them anything. If you want to just look around, you can make a fake account.
Twenty years ago when I tried to convince people including my parents why leaking data all over the Internet is a bad idea, they just dismissed me with "Dont worry we wont put our passwords or bank information"
Recently I have been able to make some progress showing them the dangers of leaking even the most innocuous privacy data
It’s the conversation I have had several times with my sister, she finally saw the issue the last time they hacked her information, she had to cancel accounts, credit cards, change their phone numbers. I wasn’t sympathetic the last time.
Yeah, but its not even the hacking. People can legit use all that info and the metadata generated by Facebook using their AI to manipulate you. Thats the part most people don't understand because its subtle.
