Yeah buying puts typically doesn't involve margin. I have some trades where I sell puts but I'm pretty risk averse and I make sure I can withstand a 50% drop in price with the reserve requirements.

Yeah my account does not have an option for selling PUTs or naked CALLs. Probably a good thing lol.

However the youtuber Greg Mannarino keeps suggesting selling PUT instead of buying stocks directly.
