Yup and as kids we laughed at the stupidity of the people who believed the Emperor was wearing clothes. We couldnt understand how it could be so when it was so obvious the Emperor was naked. Maybe it should be required reading in schools right through 12th grade with course work involved. Perhaps an entire new series of classes on how to think critically and logical argument. It can come right after civics and before the ancient philosophers.
Yeah, we all thought it was a silly story that had no practical use.
Perhaps they should have used to compare the mind set of people during, say, Russian Revolution, or World Wars, or Chinese Cultural revolution etc to show us how people could follow stupid ideology blindly.
Our schools are so broken :(
By design. Education system has always been a way to create a serf class even from the colonial times.
Fully aware that its by design. Even when I was in HS in the 70s and 80s I knew the schools were broke. I thought it was incompetence then. But since my kids were in HS I have known better.
