My BIL is Canadian but he doesn't know anything about politics:

So they invoke this "Emergency Powers Act".

From what I have read, they really went after the banks. Military is not involved and it's yet to be seen what the police on the ground and fed police will do. If I am a betting man, I'd bet they will have boots doing as told.

So what are the people on the ground going to do? From what I understand they now can:

Arrest protesters and the convoy truckers, leaders etc

Freeze accounts without being held liable

So what can the protesters and drivers do now? I mean what are their options?

The courts appear to be fully controlled by DS based on how the government moves.

Example-

Driver gets arrested, funds are frozen and goes to court. Spends years and thousands on fees. People try to help via fund raising but the feds label that money frozen because it's supporting terrorists part of blockades and occupations.

I mean how does a "peaceful protest" solve this problem?
