The only conclusion one can gather from the sheer audacity of the people in power right now is:

They know they've lost, their only hope is to cause civil war so they can stomp down as many of the "enemy" as possible.

This is why Q posts make sense. In fact, I believe the entirety of the Q operation was to prep us to withstand the great attempts to force our hand.

Since we know the plan, know they're caught, and know there are more of us everyday, we have yet to fall for the hook.
