I guess the time has come for the public lay person to be involved in hiring, firing and overseeing police. This attitude starts at the top and goes down. You get what you expect. The police, not all, think that they are a privileged strong arm above the law. No, you serve we the people and our taxes pay your salaries. You treat all with respect and honor your oath or you lose your job. Those who have sworn allegiance to the government instead will be SOL.
