What do you the think is the most effective way to handle this peacefully? Is peacefully even a possibility?

As far as I know, the Central Banks are their close kin and the pets of The Federal Reserve is a few major banks with branch all over the USA. I'd say target them for protests and ask for all American to withdraw money from all banks and just pay by money order for bills - mail it in or take it in. Protest the UN (not very effective). Superglue the locks shut on the banks if possible? Collect your dog poop and put it in their bank deposit boxes (the top 5 or so major banks). or pour pee in there (watch out for DNA testing, though). But, that is for nontruckers to do if things get bad and sad.
