They've been waiting for Russia for years.

A very large portion of Ukraine is Russian: for a time Kiev was the capital of Russia (Kievan Rus) before Moscow was even dreamt of, and Chersonesus in Sevastopol, Crimea was the place where all Russia was Christianised.

Yup, 842 to 1243 Kyiv was the capitol... The people of Ukraine especially the outlying states have been oppressed ever since barry's administration installed the government there... The Eastern Orthodox religion was handed down/established after the apostles of Christ and is the oldest Christian religion in the world... Predating catholicism by many centuries... This includes the Greek Orthodox church which is older still...
