Sorry for the black pill… but there’s really no other way to address this issue. we NEED to be prepared for the worst case scenario even though we may not ever get there. And those who have not yet prepared, let’s help them out.
Here’s why one needs to be prepared for the worst…

And I can go ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!
I think it’s time we help each other with preparing for potentially the worst. I believe we will jump into a severe depression, so our commodities may actually end up being tradable goods and benefit us.
Please contribute information for our fellow community members who may not understand much about prepping. I will comment below as well.
This is the most cost effective solution I found for wheat and other staples. You can get over 30 pounds of wheat berries for $40. You need to grind them to make flour, you don’t want to grind too much in advance, it spoils quickly without all those garbage preservatives that store bought flour has. Keep in mind grinders can be very pricey, both the electric and manual ones. I’m still researching grinders, if anyone has a preference on grinders please share. The wheat berries (and other staples) are sealed in (6) #10 cans. Most, if not all, can store for up to 30 years. You don’t have to be a member of their church to order through them. https://store.churchofjesuschrist.org/usa/en/food-storage-3074457345616678849-1
Wow! Great contribution! I personally didn’t know wheat berries have a 30 year shelf life!
I didn’t either. : ) I’ve been comparing so many options and learning as I go. I figured even if they last half that time they’re still a great investment. Especially if all wheat products double in price or become difficult to get.
Apparently near downtown Orlando, there is a place where the Mormon church will help you can food? (I bet they have other resources like this around the country.)Someone told me about it a couple years ago. I follow someone on Instagram, @afarmgirlinthemaking, who has a book on preserving food. The homesteaders have lots of great resources.
