Human-Animal Chimeras have been around for years at this point.

Though Officially it’s mostly been splicing cells in Lab Animals to test effectiveness of medication and treatments on animals instead of humans. There was some disturbing experiments with full on Hybrid Fetuses. But they were allegedly terminated before they would have been “Born”.

Unofficially. The rumors and legends of more in depth and elaborate experiments have persisted for a very long time. With alleged stories recorded in folklore as far back as Medieval Europe.

Houska Castle in the Czech Republic. Is one such structure with a host of stories surrounding it. Built with no external fortifications only internal. Officially Believed to be an Administrative center for what was at that point the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Some Local Legends and Folklore however allege the Castle was built to defend the region against a Portal to Hell. From which monstrous Creatures and Human-animal hybrids emerged to terrorize the country side. Sound familiar?

There is also a belief now among some that some Cryptid sightings may have in fact been escaped Chimeras.
