And around such fundamental points of law and the Constitution, and getting into the "high weeds" about definitions and original intent, such sweeping rulings can come into existence. The lives (and deaths) of millions of people can hang on a simple definition of a word. Baby? Person? Fetus? Non-viable tissue?
And for the definition, how many babies have been killed?
Unfortunately the SCOTUS has too many members who operate on FEELZ and what they thing the Constitution SHOULD say instead of what it ACTUALLY says. That's how Roe v. Wade came into existence in the first place, finding meanings of "privacy" and "personal choice" where none existed in the prior 200 years. So amazing that those concepts managed to stay hidden for so long, isn't it?
As long as people like Sotomayor and Kagan et al. are on the court, I'm sure we're going to find more hidden meanings using some secret decoder ring that only the Left has access to.

Agreed and far, far too many. I just hope that SCOTUS caught it and that it effects the preceedings.

Time will tell fren'. I do love though that she undermined the very argument she was trying to sell.
