Why are we Christian? Srs question here. I mean you could argue Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, etc all have similar tenants and are all shitty due to the human aspect/corruption/cultural adaptation.
I'm not a cunt, or a dick, or trying to start shit. The heavy emphasis on religion is really just the only thing about this group that leaves me scratching my head.
Thanks for any serious answers in advance.
"Christians" is term originally said about those who follow Christ . The Apostles and first century believers didn't use the term, " Christian" , to describe themselves, others did. Rather describing themselves as believers and following "The Way", referring to the way of redemption and eternal life. Some later forms of believers eventually called themselves Christian. I prefer to say I'm a believer in the one true God who died for me and you. By defeating death Jesus showed us "The Way" , believe in Jesus and recieve eternallife life.
Many here believe the same. As did the founding fathers of our country . Bless you, thanks for your question.
Get yourself a KJV and start reading because after all we were founded as a Christian nation not Judeo i.e. Satanism or any other false religion because there's only one book in its true translation "is not of this world".
John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
So we Christians cause we born here?
Weren't your parents religious? You aren't? You don't believe we were created?
No. I've lived with people of various faiths over my lifetime. They all speak exactly the same way you do.
I believe in a higher power, but not something that would be considered "mainstream" I guess.
Monotheistic religion, in my opinion, is for those not strong enough to face the realities of every day life on their own.
