Best race I ever attended was Gran Prix of Sao Paolo back in the 90s. It was a Ferrari 1-2 finish w/ Barachello and Schumacher. I thought the stands were gonna collapse from celebration.

I think Ferrari let him win in his native country, as he overtook Schumacher about lap 65.

Schumacher’s accident still seems odd. I can’t think of any celeb who got injured and didn’t maintain some semblance of public identity - Christopher Reeves in particular. I wonder if he’s actually dead and the family and F1 kept him “alive” for the $$$. Very odd.
