Greatest state in the Union! I have a tranny cousin who will be unhappy. He can seethe. (He doesn't make a pretty "woman" at all.)
I am more familiar with Tulsa, but I think OKC has more going for it. Tulsa has some beautiful homes and history, as I'm sure OKC does, but I've only been there a handful of times. It does seem that OKC is more prone to tornadic activity.
Just don't move to Moore or Norman they get hit all the time. I live in OKC people are really based for the most part.
When my husband was in the Army Reserves, he had to do two weeks' training there and we got to spend a little time in Bricktown. That was so long ago!
Why does everyone bring up the big cities when they think about moving here to Oklahoma... are you really moving to Oklahoma to see the big cities? There are wayyy better options than our 2 largest cities, the best parts of Oklahoma are outside of those cities
Look at Edmund for OKC then and Broken Arrow for Tulsa, imo Edmond is the better choice.
Lawton is another city worth considering moving to if you'd like to move to a fairly large city with a 90s feel and a strong military vet community.
You're welcome, and if you're a veteran as your username suggests, thank you for your service.
Any other questions about Oklahoma, feel free to send me a message, I've lived here my whole life
God Speed
I think you'd be happy in Hooker, OK!!!
