All federal unions are corrupt and should never exist. Sorry, but a union that is directly tied to taxpayer financing is diametrically opposed to the taxpayers best interests.
There has to be a better way to serve the interests of the people and protect federal workers (once that number is reduced to an appropriate level).
Not to mention that schools must be unhooked from the federal government, and governed much closer to the local level. Even having them tied to the state government leads to corruption. How many inner city schools have become money laundering operations? Or, if nothing else, funded advocates for more school spending and liberal political activism?
Everywhere I look, inner city schools get very high funding per student, with the lowest aggregate test scores and overall results. We sent our kids to private grade schools, and at that time, the cost to educate a student in the public system was just under 3 times what it cost us at the private school. The aggregate private school scores were 30-40 points higher than the public schools. We saw the numbers (the private school was proud of their results). We've heard all the excuses as to why the public schools are more expensive, but they managed for many years to do ok without all the special programs that are required now, and they removed the advanced placement courses to save money, and they still cost more per student. It's total BS. We saw the liberal take over the schools here, and all the parents complaints fell on deaf ears. And the people we thought were fairly conservative turned out to be liars.
