Think of it from the basketball player's standpoint.

EVERY NBA team just saw what happened... and they KNOW what really happened. This college player's career hopes in the NBA just crashed.

Who wants to waste a draft pick on someone with heart problems or blood clots? The guy will have to go through full medical evaluation to even be considered for the NBA... and even then will be considered a high risk.
