If gender is "just a construct", why does one need surgeries or hormones to be another gender? Why does one have to wear the clothes, the makeup (or no makeup if claiming they are a guy) of the other gender to FEEL like that gender?
Gender is a social construct, but it's a construct based entirely on biological sex and thousands of years of tradition. The radical left highjacked the term. The original anthropological concept of gender just meant to distinguish how gender roles differed from culture to culture. For example, what it meant to be a man or woman in ancient Sparta is quite different than what it means in modern America.
