There was a cool one as part of the Mensa test. It looked like a series of math questions, but once you figured the pattern to find the answers you didn't have to do the math! Thank god or else I wouldn't have done very well🐸
That's pretty neat. Got a smart friend who was interested in taking the test until he realized it wasn't free. He always says he's smarter than the folks in Mensa because he wasn't dumb enough to pay for bragging rights lol.
You used to be able to do the home tests for free (UK / Ireland in the late 1980s). They’d send out a pack, you do it in <30 minutes, then post it back. They’d send you back the results. Not supervised or anything, but free (just paid postage) & yes by Mensa headquarters in the UK.
The real test cost money so no, never did it. Was just curious & did two home tests spaced 18 months apart. 3 points difference between them.
They had a section on the ASVAB (military's entrance test) for Pattern recognition at least when I took it.
