Just started coughing like crazy couple of days ago, general malaise, headaches, very slight fever, sore throat and just generally tired and out of sorts. At 69 he usually is hardly ever gets run down so this is unusual, especially his coughing is getting worse. On the off chance: vitamin C, D and Zinc but anyone remember in what dosage? Thanks for any help🤞

He’s been complaining about being cold every night and we have a heated mattress pad.How much of each did you take?
For the coughing it might be important to take a blood thinner. This was discussed yesterday. Clots in the lungs cause coughing. A D-dimer test will prove it. As a minimum take Aspirin.
Also try 5mg Cetirizine Hydrochloride at bedtime. (It worked for me.)
1000 mg vit C
30 mg zinc
10,000 iu vit D3
Quercetin 800 mg
Magnesium Citrate 2000 mg (=300 mg magnesium)
Where did you get Cetirizine Hydrochloride? Haven’t heard of that one?
It's a generic antihystamine often sold as Piriton/Piriteze. Some viruses cause an allergic reaction similar to mild asthma and cause a dry cough. Over the counter at any pharmacy. I took half of a 10mg tablet for three consecutive nights after a fortnight of coughing. But note my comment about blood clots. It won't fix that.
Make sure he drinks plenty. My throat was constantly dry. And yes I was extremely cold and then it turned into extremely hot. My worst was the weakness and tiredness where I didn't have the strength to get up. God bless and I will pray for him. Take care and do what you are doing. God will take care of the rest.
I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but......sounds like covid. I had all those symptoms myself. The worst one is the overwhelming tiredness. No strength to even get up to take a shower. Weak as all get out. Mine started with a sore throat and coughing. I pray you don't have it and that maybe you have a mild case of flu. God bless and keep doing what you're doing.
I don't know for sure; that is up to you. It probably wouldn't hurt unless you have a limited supply. I only know that I had it for 2 weeks and it was 'more' than a slight cold. My husband had it for about a month and then it attacked his compromised liver. Abdomen swelled the size of a pregnant woman carrying twins. Had to take him to the VA Hospital twice to have fluid drained. He is doing well now and stomach is going down. However he still doesn't have much strength to get around like he used to.
God bless. You know what you have to do when things get rough. I pray that doesn't happen though. I wouldn't wish that stuff on nobody.
That's how my Covid thing started, when it hit me 2 years ago. Random chills, and felt feverish at night but no fever. Probably and hopefully you won't get worse, but the health advice here is solid.
