Um, no. The US constitution was not created in 1776. The US constitution was written and signed in 1787.
The second amendment was passed in 1789, and then ratified in 1791. So been the law since 1791.
However, the right to bear arms is God-given, and has been God's law since, well, Creation year 0.1.
So is it or is it not the law of the land to defend yourself?
