Okay so first major thing I'm seeing here is they lead in with stuff we all know is true, then subtly slip in the false equivalency of both antivenom and monoclonal antibodies for coronavirus are exactly the same. They use that to shoehorn the narrative about snakes being the origin of coronavirus.
I mean, even though antivenom is technically a type of monoclonal antibody, I'm not really sold on the notion that all monoclonal antibodies would be effective. Antibodies typically respond to specific antigens...
I think what Dr. Ardis is saying is that the treatment is the same, using different but strikingly similar monoclonal antibodies for COVID and for snakebite.
He asked, "when have you ever heard of ANY virus being treated with MAbs?" The answer is there are some but a well known use of MAbs besides cancer and autoimmune disease is poisoning, esp. snake bite. But the viruses for which MAbs are used are CMV, RSV, HSV, and possibly Ebola.
