Hi everyone, I have recently had a miscarriage. I found out I was pregnant while I was taking my prescription for ivermectin. Went to the doctor for my ten week ultrasound and found out it was twins with no heartbeat. Babies stopped growing at 6 weeks. I was so heartbroken and still am but I'm being strong because it won't help me to get down and out. I am blessed to have three healthy kids and we will try again. I've never miscarried before and I'm just wondering if it could have been from the Ivermectin. What do you think?
Edit: I've prayed for twins for so long.
I doubt that the Ivermectin caused the miscarriage, Ivermectin is relatively safe and has been used worldwide for years. Did you know that 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage and often happen early in the pregnancy so that many don’t even know they were pregnant. I am so sorry for your loss. As soon as you know you are pregnant you start bonding with the baby or babies and your loss is real. You do go through a grieving period and may feel down, sad, depressed. In most cases there is either a genetic component or physical component to the loss (placental attachment, hormonal level or thyroid level). God works in mysterious ways-maybe the twins would have been defective, maybe the timing with the turmoil in the world wasn’t right. We don’t always know the reason right away, sometimes it is revealed years later. May you find solace knowing you have 3 other perfect children.
Thank uou
