I figured doctor, because they are legally allowed to lift up the skirt and check to see if it hangs to the left or to the right. But technically, according to pre-SCOTUS I think you're correct.

Well, all I know is that obstetricians are unable to tell whether a baby is a boy or a girl, so I assumed that was true of all doctors.

Yes, they have to guess the gender of the baby when it's delivered, and apparently they get it wrong most of the time.
