I grew up in Huntington Beach and I live there for 26 years. I’ve never once seen a coyote on the beach. Ever! Ever!
However; here in Arizona… They’ll walk straight down your street. They’ve never tried to attack me or anybody for that matter, and are just going from point A to point B!
That’s hilarious. Seal team six! It’s so true though. When their territory is threatened, they will ban together! Are you in Arizona? You don’t have to say if you don’t want to, I understand the ambiguity here.
I grew up in Lake Arrowhead and that's where all the coyotes lived!! Seriously, there has never, ever, ever been a freakin coyote in Huntington beach. Went there way too often as a teen. Back in the 80's... such a great beach. I remember everything ...except coyotes.
Colloquially, a coyote is a person who smuggles immigrants across the Mexico–United States border. The word "coyote" is a loanword from Mexican Spanish that usually refers to a species of North American wild dog (Canis latrans).

They will grab small pets in a heartbeat, though. Plenty of folks have lost dogs and cats to four-legged coyotes.

"a little girl's face is mauled..." as in frazzled.rip?
"Coyote" is also the term for someone whom you can pay to smuggle you across the southern border into the USA. Payment is not always monetary.
