This seems sus to me. If Google is monitoring 4chan, then posting on 4chan to reveal what Google is doing seems like a really dumb thing to do. Now, you've tipped off Google and they can just change tactics -- and start looking for the mole.
It seems more like someone's dangling bait hoping 4chan will bite.
Another sus point - Twatter has plenty of cash and geeks and direct access to their own platform unlike an outsider. Why would it take Google to make the bots?
I wouldn't be surprised of half the twats posted on any given day are AI driven. Some of the bots are hitting 1000 comments a day. We already know that the trending section is "curated" and it's my theory that the curation happens when the bots are not enough to drive the algorithm the way they want it to work.
it is much easier to avoid accountability and claim lack of knowledge of 3rd party google. if twitter makes its own bots it is blatant fraud. purchasing consulting or algorithm development services from google creates plausible deniability.
