Sounds nuts I suppose. But maybe I'm not the only one to have this experience. We planted 15 samplings (45 to go for this year!) yesterday and it was really amazing how it shifts perspective.
We did it as a family. Some of us prayed and "talked" to the plants or the ground -- sounds funny I suppose, but it was really interesting to hear our different instincts led us to connect with nature and ultimately our Creator.
A little reminder for me I wanted to share with you that we are all part of something much larger than is usually discussed.
I love trees, I feel a wholeness amongst a forest. My birthday is close to Earth Day and ever since I can remember I planted trees and bushes for my birthday. Only missed one, yet that whole year was a tragedy Riddled one for me.
I do not see this as any problem, in fact, I do think of it as a prayer. God would likely understand this work in his name.
nice to hear :) just finished watering them for the evening (28 now, 5 more tomorrow to plant)
