Half the SCOTUS lives in Virginia? Where Youngkin just started?

You know, this whole situation is sure looking like an insurrection to me. It looks like everyone on all sides is calling it on.

I think someone should point out Moyer vs Peabody to Governor Youngkin.

The short version is that the SCOTUS ruled that a governor could deploy the National Guard and declare martial law to quell an insurrection, as long as both sides agreed there was an insurrection. Furthermore, the two sides did not have to be in agreement as to the terms on the insurrection, only that one was occurring.
