I've come to a point where it is a natural thought process for me to pray for a person's eternal salvation (and honestly want that for them) while at the same time asking for legal justice. The two are mutually exclusive.
Extreme case: Hillary Clinton, whom I detest with the fire of a thousand suns. I would be delighted to hear her acknowledge her transgressions and accept Christ as her Lord and Savior. I would welcome her into the Kingdom with open arms. But I also want her execution to be televised.
Yea I totally agree. Think of the thief on the cross. Who knows what that guy did. And maybe crucifixion was a bit over the top, but suppose he had deserved execution of some sort.
However, at the last minute, he trusted in Christ, and the King Himself said "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." - Luke 23:43.
And that is really encouraging to us as sinners. We deserve death just as the thief did. But justice was dealt on Jesus that moment and our stack of sins against God were paid for, including anyone who trusts in Him. Including Killary. Including you. Including me.
