I'm trying to read it, but all I see is neglect. Don't know why people bother with this shit. Just breast feed. So much more convenient and better for all parties involved.
Easier said then done, I did not breast feed because I didn’t produce milk. I had twins because of a condition and didn’t produce milk because of that same condition. I was told if I didn’t produce by the actual due date (5 weeks premature) I wouldn’t. Do I have guilt for not being able to of course I do, but even with formula at 4 months it wasn’t good enough for them they needed more i would have never been able to keep up with that kind of production. My grand daughter also wasn’t getting enough and had to supplement as well. I know tons of moms who have had to turn to supplementing with formula.
PLEASE NOTE There are much newer, better homemade formula recipes that ones used 60-70 years ago. Your pediatrician can give you one. One of my relatives is a pediatrician, is very upset about the WIC mothers who have no options if the one approved brand is out of stock. He's giving recipes to all his new mothers.
Call a pediatrician. Really, would you feed your baby any old thing you found on the internet? I only suggested looking for those sites if you're so paranoid you don't trust your doctor. (And if you don't, why are they your doctor?)
Me too. As usual, no good intention goes unpunished. I'm getting attacked by the usual crowd of shills. I really need to stop posting anything because it obviously isn't appreciated. Anyway, thanks for being reasonable, as you always are.
I feel so bad for those mothers who have to be able to buy formula and can't find any. My relative even had his wife go around to all the local stores to see if anybody had formula in stock so he could tell his mothers. She found none in their rural area.
A real gathering of like-minded patriots here. Actually it is but there are plenty of the others too. One of them was lecturing me on pre-Kennedy years wisdom. LOL I'm way pre-Kennedy and probably old enough to be his grandmother.
You think maybe shills are pushing this karo syrup recipe to harm babies? I mean what the heck did I stir up?
Naahh…sugar was pushed hard back then unfortunately bringing a generation of diabetically prone adults. We were discussing this last nite & my ex wife said why add any sugars at all? If the baby’s hungry it will eat.
Not for newborns. They can have a reaction to honey. I remember that from when my kids were babies. even organic sugar would be better than corn syrup.
This is how you make more boomers.

I agree, HOWEVER some women have problems lactating.

I would love to see them?

Gotcha. I know there’s a lot of young Mothers panicking now, was just trying to help.

I JUST got home from checking a few rural stores myself…SAME. I get where you’re coming from with the shilling.

Under special instructions; “tea”? Skip that 😂
Understood. Use honey or raw cane sugar? There’s gotta be more modern recipes?
Karo is corn syrup. I am sure there are better substitutes.
I was thinking same. Honey or raw cane sugar would probably be a better substitute 👍🏼

My bad. I seem to recall that now, TY.
