100% tax on inheritances and trust funds over $100,000 would eliminate the need for all those other taxes. Americans are under the spell of Preppy-loving brainwashing if they'd rather tax the living than the dead.
Large inheritances put inferior people in superior positions and gut the economy. That result acts like another tax on the unentitled. The plutocracy picks winners and losers in the next generation. That creates more and more unearned concentrated power as time goes on. Just imagine if pro athletes had the right to pass on their positions to their sons. Sports would turn into a joke after awhile. If you believe in heiristocracy, the joke's on you.
sorry, I had forgotten about the inheritance tax. But I would make that the limit for each child who inherits. Why? Because parents have a more grounded idea of who deserves their money than the government does. OTOH, It would prevent parents who would rather help out while they are still alive from stalling that plan for a larger inheritance later....

I think Rand Paul is more based than Don Jr. Rand makes sound decisions based on data and logic. If things add up for him, he makes his decision, regardless what the narrative around it is.

Even when I disagree with Rand, I respect his reasoning. He's like the only adult in the room in the Senate. One man can't stop the massive theft taking place, but I'm glad he's there doing what he can. He would be a great president too.
Agreed Entirely( just as his father did when he was in the House)! I'm also certain he is my brother in Messiah. He gives his testimony in a book he co-wrote called The Presidents and Their Prayers. He has been one of the few who wants to question Most Favored Nation status for nations that persecute Christians, and openly objects to it.
My old neighbors are woke virtue signaling liberals - the wife was the worst. However, the wife actually applauded something Rand did/said during the lockdowns when he said it was all bs etc. I was shocked.
I demand audits for ALL elections. I demand audits for ALL state budgets. And I demand we audit the Fed.
After such we will then decide what taxes are necessary. In fact, income tax and property tax should be abolished regardless.

True, that we know off, but Rand was not ridiculed, smeared, and called a quack a fraction of what Ron has been. I remember a yt video if him being on Geraldo in the 80-90s, he was young, and just getting booed and ridiculed for saying common sense stuff and criticizing the federal reserve. There is no doubt this was a set-up by Geraldo and his producers.. Surprised they didn't arm the audience with rotten tomatoes, there was nothing organic about the audience reaction. It was bizarre. He was a huge threat, but I do think Rand's cajones have grown in the last years.
That is granted. But as the old saying goes, first they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they attack you...then you win, then they build monuments to you. I agree entirely on the Festivus Report, but I would include Planned (un)Parenthood 'grants', White Coat Waste project's reporting of animal abuse, and aid to dependent dictators. The whole 2008 election with the Romney/ Ryan 'win' of the nomination stank to high heaven, IMHO.
I agree. What scared them about Ron Paul so much was his dedication to disseminating factual information to the public, decades and decades of newsletters on a wide variety of topics. I'm sure Ron Paul didn't go into politics be a politician (to suck as much money from the public teat as possible), and I don't believe Rand did either, but he got stuck somewhere, not in the swamp, I believe he lives an honest and modest life, but just being complacent. I know being as productive as Ron Paul has been over the decades would be pretty tough to compete with, so my initial comment was unfair. but some of that would be great. This is an information war and without the information, the citizens will always be the POWs.
At this point I'm not just awake, I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I know people feel similarly.
I want to go back to sleep. Just for a little while. But it's hard. These things keep me up all night.
