My last baby, my now 41 yr old daughter had hiccups from 3 months to her c-section. Hiccups , every day, every night, every minute. I hated it. Then her turning over, under, around, feet jabbing my ribs, hands pushing my stomach, watching my whole stomach go almost behind my back as she flipped & flopped. I swore she was doing all she could to escape. Pregnant from Nov to July 2, 1981. Such horrible seasonal, summer allergies. I sneezed an average of 20 x in a row until I was coughing and sneezing blood, swollen throat also I could barely swallow, no allergy pills as they pass the placenta. Had to stay indoors for last 3 months due to sneezing & coughing. Could not speak for last 7 weeks from throat being swollen from allergies. Had c-section July 2,1981 @ 7:45am! She was my 1st and last girl/baby. All I went through was a blessing as she has been the most wonderful, giving, loving, thoughtful daughter a mom could have. I give her a hard time in jest for what she put me through but I would never change a thing. She taught me to love EVERYTHING about her months before I saw or held her. All those months of pain, pain & uncomfortableness were gone the moment she took my hand, put it in her mouth & gave me a “Thank you, mommy” kiss at 4 minutes old. How can anyone say no to such LOVE? I still get “Thank you, mommy” kisses 41 yrs later! That’s my Leanne! That’s not a clump of cells!
