And wicked smart. Mine plays fetch and stalk. He likes for me to chase him and he bounds about like a gazelle. Then when it’s my turns to get chased, he does the crab and bounds to me.
LOL...What is it with the Shreds? We have a couple of ferals that will give me the look if I give them Shreds (cause sometimes that's all they had at the store). You get a look of ''where's the Prime Filets?' I’ve said out loud "you are literally beggars being choosy!" Cattitude.
I was joking, though it's all our cats ever ate. It was that or what they could catch, and since the possums liked to eat it too we sure as hell weren't putting out anything fancy.
As someone whose cats only ever ate Meow Mix (as noted elsewhere), this is amazing. Our cats would go bat shit for any morsel of real fish etc. One even tried to drink my dad's "beer" (Miller Lite) but only got his head all the way in the glass before he decided it probably didn't taste that great after all....
Basically fun stories and kidding aside, I kind of think if they reject real tuna then the cat food they're getting must be kind of like they've gotten used to fast food and think steak is gross?
My cats won't touch the pate canned food. One was abandoned and was a street cat for awhile and she won't either.
She does eat people food if offered such as cheese popovers and homemade donuts. I had a cat that would try to sip my coffee if I left it unattended. Cats are strange.
Previous cats would only eat certain canned food and we wondered what would happen if it disappeared. We stockpiled some. Two, new cats later, they eat only dried, and we rotate from a mylared supply.
LOL. This is why (along with my speaker and amp grilles) I have resisted having little carnivores live with me, and have stuck simply to plants - which occasionally have their own surprises (I had no idea this thing would do this)
It's interesting, I hadn't really thought about it. What is above the food chain from a house cat (looking at N America since that is what I am familiar with):
Bigger cats. Bobcat/lynx/cougar - but house cat numbers, and suitability for their feral (urban) environment?
Bears - though a big bear would probably have a hard time predating on a cat.
I doubled up on my Chewy subscription order a couple years ago when the first pet food shortages hit, and forgot to set it back to normal til a couple months ago. I have enough food to last myself 6-9 months. I have at least 3x that for my cats.
NOT financial advice, but if you believe the shortage will be over soon, consider selling some of your stock while demand is high and supply is low. (and then buy tangible appreciable assets with the money, obviously)
It's still available on Chewy, in fact they have a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I'm not in a financial position where I'd need to do that, but I may donate some to my town's pet food pantry.
I am a cat lover and respect them because they are fuzzy balls of cuteness equipped with needles on their fingers and sharp teeth. I do not get "cat people" who treat cats like children, because they are not. They are survivors, but if you've made them retarded by treating them like babies, good luck when they can't find and hunt food.
My cat and I watch the 1993 film, "Alive," once per year so we know the ground rules of any food shortages. I'm almost 50% sure I can win, head-to-head.🐈
Stocked up on my cat’s food and litter several months back, expecting this would come. I could pluck a beautiful plump salmon for her out of the pristine Alaskan waters and she’d look at me like “yeah that’s crap, where’s my crunchy dry food and my lickable bisque?!”
The cheap cat food and treats at Aldi go over pretty well. And the one here seems to have plenty. The Food Lion gets some occasionally, so we get 10 or 20 when they have them. Walmart has had zero for months now.

Ha ha ha
The cat food shortage is real though.
I hope our Great Maga King can do something soon. Things are getting worse and worse.
My cat too and he will tear up the laundry room. I’m going to switch him to raw. That FF isn’t good for them. He’s always hungry
He will yowl and tear up the paper towels. Bengals are loud. 🤣
Ha! They really are...and so dramatic!❤
And wicked smart. Mine plays fetch and stalk. He likes for me to chase him and he bounds about like a gazelle. Then when it’s my turns to get chased, he does the crab and bounds to me.
Awww I love when they're in crab kitty mode!
unleash the mice. survival of the fittest predators
Just take your cat to Boston there are unlimited about of rats in the streets.
I am hoarding quality cat food and supplementing with freeze dried meat and tuna.

See, where you went wrong was ever deviating from Meow Mix at the outset.
Meow Mix is cat crack. Never again.

🤗 I have the same issue with my cats. They will take over the world as soon as they get thumbs.

Ultra KEK
I've been seeing cat food back on the shelves at least this past week. I grabbed tons.
When will we start seeing “make your recipes” like with the baby formula shortage? Seems in the near future.
Start?
I'm sure people killing their cats with vegan diets are killing their kids with diets they think are healthier.
Grain free is the real way to go. Veganism for carnivores is murder.
It's almost like these shortages are planned to kickstart society's will to fend for itself, and ween us off a globo-homo chain
I agree!

Lol oh man, I know that look!🐸
What if you do the "it's that or nothing" for say 3 days? Or does that mean every plant and furniture item in the house isn't?

Heh yeah I guess I can see that
The only things that choose me are raccoons (yard/poop) and squirrels (a bit too much interest in the eaves, but they seem to get lead poisoning).
At least they're smaller than deer, which is my backyard nemesis.
"FEED ME"
Wtf? Cats are super predators that eat rodents, roaches, Grasshoppers, lizards, etc. Just open the door and they eat.

Um... Bigfoot? I think that's about it....

You cat people gotta understand. You their servants.

Release a rodent and let him work for it.

that cat is not complaining on God fr fr

walmart = CCP. Makes sense with the blocked ports and all
But it's odd that Walmart doesn't get Friskies any more, but Food Lion does.
