One understanding would be based on Job 38:4-7 which has the heavenly host (angels) present during creation, rejoicing at God’s work. God says “Let us make”, then in Gen 1:27, God makes. The Hebrew grammar for the verb in 1:27 is singular. The angels were present but weren’t creating.
It’s not a challenge at all to typical Christian beliefs. Was the Trinity involved in creation? Yes! Genesis 1:2 and John 1:1-2 have the spirit and the logos.
...and who is this our?
