I am with you. I get it. Fake.

But... I am not able to reconcile all the people who would need to be in on it. So, all the school parents, for example... certainly someone would say "That did not happen at our school, because everyone is accounted for" , etc.

Or the politicians... such a risk. Or the administrators or police.

I feel like someone would say "This was an exercise, and the media jumped the gun" or something like that.

How could a lie so easily debunked be kept going?

Again... I think it is fake--I am just not getting my head around the ability to keep the lie going
