I have a pond in my back yard. Gators are always there. (even if you don't see them). Just leave them alone and they will move along. Sometimes people feed them and they connect people with foood. That's when they get turned into shoes or something similar.
Ive lived in the pac nw my whole life lol gators mean instant death in my brain. I also have little babies so Im extra fearful. From far (very far) away they are cute though
I don't know about cute. lol They run away if approached. If one doesn't run away he is put down. As far as babies are concerned, yea that could be a problem. Adults are not food to them. Babies, small dogs, cats on the other hand are or at least could be. I have a two year old grandson. I also have a fenced in small backyard. There is a pond directly behind with gators. There is no way in the world I would let my grandson outside by himself even with the fence. I have never had a problem with a gator. Still they have teeth. I would have leave my grandson alone with a dog. Dogs also have teeth. That is reason enough for me.
