Amish are self sustained: crops, cattle, little use of electricity or phones (the younger ones with businesses do use phones, not sure about internet), well water. This in reality thwarts disease from limited chemical use in food, drink raw milk, cheeses made from raw milk. Very few obese Amish. They do use our medical system when serious illness occurs. Children are insulated from many of the vices: social media, porn, CRT, race problems, LGBQT. Because of zero electricity they donβt use internet, social media, they have their own schools so donβt need to worry about teaching CRT, LGBQT agenda (no reliance on government aid for breakfast and lunches-so they arenβt forced to teach nor do they have to accept diverse teachers). Their simpler life in some ways has paid off, but there is a lot of inbreeding-so that is the downside. Some farmers have been harshly punished for selling some things-ointments for instance without FDA approval. Another government interference while turning a blind eye to drug running which is worse by far.
oh yeah, there are a percentage of Amish that deal with alcoholism and even drugs, abusive relationships, and so on. There's also the unfortunate problem of inbreeding does happen sometimes too.

Keep in mind they are human, too. Russ Dizdar said there were instances of sexual abuse that were covered up among them, too.
Yes, I am sure that is true.
