This right here....people won't siphon, they'll drill a hole in the gas tank to drain it...I've already seen it being done on diesel trucks with large tanks. Stupid and dangerous but people are both of those things too.
Gave them 15 to fill up my canister for the lawn mower and if I filled right to the top woulda took it all. Had like 50 cents left where I stopped at. Threw it in the truck which was probably just enough to start it lol
On the plus side, out here in the dirt roads it's much less likely someone's gonna fuck with your car. Sure, the occasional break-in does happen but it's much more rare than in the city.
My grandfather has lived on this property I now take care of him on (sadly reverse mortgage so it isn't family land) for several decades and can only recall one incident... somebody went in the garage and stole the beer from the fridge. Desperate criminal or stupid kid? My guess is the latter.
I used to make fun of my cousin for living in the woods (my uncles house is about 20 miles away, same house he grew up in while it was my grandfathers) and I lived right outside of Denver
Today if you told me I could either move back or stay where I am forever...well, sorry my Colorado frens lol
I make over $30 an hour and I’m living paycheck to paycheck to support me and my fiancé. Diesel is 5.79 a gallon here and it fucking sucks! I’m about to say fuck it and just stop paying bills and go make a life somewhere else
Most of your newer vehicles starting around 2000 can't be siphoned. They have roll over valves in the filler necks.
Source: I'm a mechanic for the last 35 years.

Doesn't that pose a fire risk?
Definitely moreso with gas than diesel.....but byes, these people are dumb.
Over 4 and a half here in rural Kansas
