Anthony Johnson (black from Angola) was the first slave owner in the colonies.
He was the first slave owner because he sued a wealthy white man (who helped an indentured servant who was kept past his contract) and won. This court case set the precedent that black slaves could be life long!! Before this only white men could be lifelong slaves.
Johnson as the first slave owner had one black and 3 white slaves.
Any reparations for the white people? Say?
1619 first ship from Dutch New Amsterdam (now New York) had contingent of black and white Irish indentured servants. English had no rules for slaves so they were all given indentured servant conditions.
And yet still nothing about the Chinese and Irish who were basically enslaved by the railroad companies to build rails back in the day. Nope that's totally A okay.... But black slaves???? "Oh you're just a racist bigot. I bet you're part of the KKK." Get real....
