Glad that this is turned to the states, that's it how it should've always been. However, I wouldn't say we should get rid of it completely. There should be the option for the less common, severe instances, such as rape, incest, or poses a threat to the mother's life. We should absolutely have more pregnancy centers established, and better programs to help pregnant and first time mothers, like in more rural areas. Not a lot of rural areas have these establishments close by, they'd have to travel into the city.
I think the states that want to get rid of it completely, and make it a felony to get one will just fuck up our chances both this year, and 2024. Felons can't vote. That's just taking votes away. There needs to be a better solution. Forcing a rape victim to birth their rapist child is not it.
Look up how their laws read and you will see ALL of them are still allowing it if the mother's life is at risk. Some have rape and incest exceptions.
