Sometimes shit just happens.

Maintenence and quality control in all the Chinese cultures is way more like that of the muslim "Insha Allah", meaning, if what they worship as god wants it to keep working, it'll keep working, if not, it wont. No point in messing around with maintaining shit.

In the Chinese culture, it's more like.. "slap a patch on it. Let grandson deal with it when he inherits."
