My 16 yo son has a court date Aug 2nd at 1. Another kid got in trouble for riding his dirt bike on a baseball diamond and he's saying that my son was there. My son wasn't there. They only have the kids statement. The only dirt bike my son has is not running and the cops saw that and they took pictures of it. And they're still trying to charge him with no evidence let me remind you. They called me the courts wanted me to bring him in and have him admit to what he did so they could give him community service and have him put on the lowest possible probation there is. And I said do you have any evidence that was my son? Do you have any pictures any videos? She said no all they had was a deputy statement. So I told her I have no problem bringing him in if you can prove to me that my son did it I'll gladly bring him in have him sign up for this program he'll do his community service whatever but if you don't have any evidence I'm not going to bring him into admit to something he didn't do that's entrapment and then they wanted to put it on put them on probation before even seeing a judge no I know my son's rights. So I have an appointment with a really good attorney on Wednesday at 1:00 it's a phone consultation. I have to add to his dad my ex-husband said he's not going to let this go he's not going to let him railroad our son like this so I'm thankful that we have a good relationship he's going to help me pay for the attorney and he's not happy it's like I'm not happy

Thats odd. Come and say you did it and we will let you off of something you did not do.
Seems like they are fishing to put this on someone else. Who is the other kid related to?
That's a tactic they use to get high conviction numbers. No evidence? No problem: we'll just threaten them, and if they sign it counts the same!
True, they do that. But they already have someone. And are fishing for someone else. Why not give that deal to the kid who was already busted and walk away.
You are thinking they are seeking truth and justice. The system doesn't reward them for truth and justice; it rewards them for convictions. Just pretend they are salesmen who get paid a commission on each conviction. From that perspective, more is always better. It's very cynical.
Obviously not every prosecutor works that way, but that's how the system works. Many just go along, allowing themselves to think they are doing right, without questioning the reality, just like doctors who should care about health but instead simply follow instructions to jab everyone on sight, the system perverts their judgement and their behavior.
It might be time to put your anon skills to work, OP. This is an excellent point.
I have been trying to put more time in. But lots of battles all over.
Stay strong, fren. It's always darkest before the dawn. Truth will win out.
Yes. Good point!
Like the FBI trying to get I think it was a security guard to write something about how he would go about setting a bomb. Entrapment right there.
That was my very first question! Who is he connected to?!
