Well no. Americans did not make it. It is in Europe situated between France and Switzerland 570 feet underground. CERN is a European organization. It was built in order to study subatomic particles. It is almost 17 miles around, so 5.5 miles in diameter. It was built with the cooperation of 100 different nations.
