I am highly skeptical of this article. Using the numbers from the tables they showed in their article, I calculated the following:
1,150,650 - person yrs for vaccinated 15-19 yr olds
171 all cause deaths = 1.486x10-4 deaths per person yr
deaths involving covid - 4 (3.476x10-6 per person yr)
1,885,684 - person yrs for un-vaccinated 15-19 yr olds
274 all cause deaths = 1.453x10-4 deaths per person yr
deaths involving covid - 24 (127.3x10-6 deaths per person yr)
vaccinated have a 2.2% higher death rate than un-vaccinated for all causes, but un-vaccinated have a ~36x higher death rate for "deaths involving covid"
I'm no fan of covid shots, but I'm not happy when blatantly false analyses are done. Someone please re-run the numbers I ran to make sure I didn't make a mistake, and the other age group could be done as well. Maybe I'm just missing something.
