NOOOOOOOO. Omg please talk to my friend first. He has to grab and tug his ear 24/7 because his face is permanently painful after his jaw correction surgery. I’m begging you to think about your options. He has atrophy in his neck and he’s only 30. It’s tucked his life up.
Agree, depending on if it’s maxilla or mandibular. Maxillary surgery is the absolute worst. My husband did the mandibular advancement, and it went well but he developed an infection that had him taking PCN for a year!
I wanted to correct my bite, and did orthodontics. The orthodontist spread my maxilla apart with a pallet spreader.
I teach back pain recovery. You should hear the stories of people who have had failed back surgery. And not just the stories. Just the way they talk. They can barely form a sentence. Surgery is generally just another tool of the ‘medical establishment’. Treating mind-body problems as purely physical problems that can be corrected by food, pills, vaccines, surgeries. Well, they can’t. Pain will exist until the appropriate change in the mind has been made, surgery or no.

Have you considered that route?
😞 that is awful!
