Chasing the American dream was the carrot to get us donkeys to make everyone else rich.
Every year we work as they chip away all the benefits of working for a living in the first place. Then when you get close to retirement age, they fuck you again.
Being 'legally' married is discriminatory. Talk to your wife about ditching the marriage license. File taxes individually.
Make her happy all over again and marry her the right way before God. Do not use a minister or a judge (corporate). Friends and family is all that is needed. Find a friend or family member who will officiate this celebrated sacrament to wed you two. It's a gift bestowed to us from God Himself.
The marriage license only purpose was designed to control families. Later, it was through taxation. It's origin in America was in circa 1868. Prior to that marriage was manifested as being part of common law. Look up 'Marriage License' in Black's Law dictionary, 6th Ed. and earlier editions. You'll be absolutely amazed. It's not what you think it is. A marriage license is essentially trading an organic Right for a permission granted by the State, who remains the arbitrator over it.
Everyone who gets vaxxed and dies also makes social security last that much longer. What a sick, cynical way to view it but I'm sure SOMEBODY crunched those #s
Yup, I retired from FT at 55, worked 2 years PT, then moved abroad. Started my SS after coming back to the US and reaching 62. I'd collect a few hundred more a month if I waited until 66 and 10 months. Screw that!
Terrible ponzi scheme upon us just like everything else. As someone who has been paying into SS and all the other BS they steal from us, at least you get to see some sort of payment. That's gone for us. We are just paying into a system that is basically stealing from us. We won't see any of that money when it is our time.
The fact they 1) tax your SSA and then 2) take your payment for Medicare out your SSA really pisses me off. And to top it off, although I have Tricare (serve in the Army, medical care for life) they make me get Medicare with my Tricare is appalling.
I suggested to dad that I look into some way of getting my disability benefits now while SS is still solvent. He was like "oh noez that'd be terrible. It'll be around when u get older"
I had some strokes about 6 years ago and still have some issues. So it would not be a stretch to try to collect but I have always been very resistant to taking government handouts so idk.

That's why I keep my credit good, if I become terminal, I'll Have as much fun as the CC will let me.
Nice! You just inspired me.

What a shill-game, I reduced my job to part-time so I'll only lose 4 months of SS next year.
They boost your SS by .66% per dollar at full retirement age, so you would be 80 before you get what they take back.
It was going to be like 9years to make up the difference of taking at 62 vs full aged. Taking it now

I'm 24. I'm going to pay into SS my whole life, and by the time I'm close to eligible, SS will be gone. Money down the fucking drain

Wow, that sucks! If your income is low enough you can get out of paying for medicare. Florida for instance will pay it.
Credit scam is another way senior citizens get screwed. When everything is paid off and you have no need to borrow, your credit score turns to shit
I chase CC welcome bonuses, and never pay interest, but rotating threw them to keep them active sucks.

I finally stopped laughing but he believes that
Disability SS is greater than the retirement amount. Also can collect for minor dependants with retirement or disability.
