Eye doctor here: the only prism I know that goes that high is Fresnel prism which I believes goes up to 30. Any prism over a few diopters in a lens can distort image so much that though it may produce fusion, the image can be degraded to a point it is not usable in visual processing. Most people learn to suppress the turned eye over time, patching will help you see single as well but you lose binocularity. I would consider patching, splitting the prism between each eye and see if you can handle it, or depending on your age/candidacy consider strabismus surgery to lower amount of prism needed (as well as second opinion from an optometrist in person).
Thank you. Mine is due to MS. My former eye doctor retired and I don’t know who he used to make my current ones. I thank you, your information should help me find someone to make them. If this helps my H prism is 20 BO and V prism is 7 BD.
If I were you, I'd try castor oil packs on both eyes. 3 layers of flannel or even gauze soaked with castor oil. Not dripping with it though. Place the patches on your eyelid and hold them in place with a bandana or a stretch hair band. Try to leave them on over night. It may take a few days or nights to work. Trying to correct the problem is much better than dealing with it with glasses. Bless you.
I have MS. That is what is ailing me.. I was a delivery driver, I can keep one closed for hours,, my brain made my left eye dominate.. you are more than likely right,,, I gotta take away one eye.. where can I find a good eye patch..

If he hasn't retired, I know a good craftsman. Look up Copperstate Optical in Phoenix, AZ and ask him.

Put an eyepatch over your good eye. Use the bad one for 1 month.
