The shares won't be distributed till Friday at open you can buy tomorrow and Thursday and still get the split.
You can also wait till Friday and price will be 1/4 the price of Thursday's close. Till it isn't..........

Yes but the price will be 1/4 what it is today so you can just buy four shares and it will be the same cost as buying one tomorrow or Thursday.
If the purchase doesn't go through in time you will miss the split,but buy at a much lower price.
It's kind of a wash.
So I may in fact end up with 20 shares instead of the 10 I bought today if the stock price is halved by the time my purchase is settled.
Either way, I'm just going to look at this as a long term investment. And maybe buy a couple extra from TDA tomorrow to get in on the split.

You already have. Ex date was yesterday.
Record date was yesterday. The broker will provide the extra shares.
My purchase order was today, but it’s showing my purchase date as 7/25 and settlement date as 7/27
That means I miss it, right?
